The short version

Hoeren App processes all audio locally on your Mac. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your audio, transcripts, or personal data. Period.

Data we collect

None. Hoeren App does not collect any personal information, usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports. The app does not communicate with any external servers during normal operation.

Audio processing

All audio capture, transcription, speaker separation, and AI summarization happen entirely on your device using on-device models (WhisperKit and Apple Intelligence). No audio data ever leaves your Mac.

Local storage

Transcripts and meeting summaries are saved as Markdown files in a folder you choose on your Mac. Hoeren App does not sync, upload, or back up these files anywhere. You have full control over your data.

License verification

When you purchase a license, Hoeren App may connect to our licensing server to validate your license key. This is the only network request the app makes. No personal data beyond the license key is transmitted.

Update checks

Hoeren App may periodically check for available updates. This request contains only the current app version and your operating system version. No personally identifiable information is sent.

Third parties

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not have any data to share.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
